JewellUnfortunately, this large ash tree had to be removed for obvious safety concerns.  As you can see from the photo to the left, there was a void at the base of the tree that was filled with concrete to seal it.  Although this helped prolong the life of this beautiful tree, it became a public-safety concern after evidence of further decay and weakness was noticed by the staff.
